Lecture) at at Wild Oats, 5th & Wilshire, Santa Monica. Speaker:
Jim Croxton
This introductory course will cover basic brain functions, emphasizing
the many ways that good (and bad) nutrition builds, maintains, and affects
the brain – and thus the mind. Because the brain is the most complex
tissue that science has attempted to understand, and because our brains
are dependent on food for both fuel and functional nutrients, there
is a great need for both research and education. For more information:

save the world through renewal of the soil. Peter Proctor is not fighting
the multinationals – he is LIVING THE SOLUTION!
This film will introduce you to the concepts of biodynamic organic farming,
which is sometimes referred to as “homeopathy for the soil.”
While millions of acres across the globe are being farmed using this
method, it is not well-known in the United States, where we are locked
in to the concepts of the “green” revolution and its use
of chemicals at the expense of the long-term health of the soil.
There will be a discussion after the film, during which you can learn
how to start your own biodynamic garden. You too can LIVE THE SOLUTION
to our epidemic of tasteless, chemical-laden food with inadequate nutrition,
right in your own backyard! For more information, call (574) 780-2316.

December 1, 5:00PM
San Francisco, CA: December WAPF Potluck. Dr. Andrew Landerman,
D.D.S. is a biological dentist in Sebastopol who has been very active
in pushing dentistry to follow the footsteps of Weston A. Price.
In addition to his work to expose the dangers of toxic dental materials
and procedures, Andy has come up with ways to deal with the systemic
effects of the industrial diet. One of these is a dental appliance that
he calls a splint. The splint works to realign the temporo-mandibular
joint (TMJ), which is misaligned by the deformation of the dental arches
that Weston Price documented in "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration."
This is just one of the important breakthroughs he has made.

Campbell, CA: Broth making class. Soup season is in full swing
and a good soup requires a good bone broth. If you do only one thing
in the kitchen for your health, making broth should be it. Broth has
easily-assimilated minerals and
hydrophilic gelatin, which aids in the digestion of other cooked foods,
particularly protein.
Join me for a basic broth-making workshop as learned from Jessica Prentice
(of Full Moon Feast and Three Stone Hearth fame). Fish, chicken, and
beef broth will be covered and we'll make a soup from the fish broth,
perhaps clam chowder.
1124 Linda Dr, Campbell, CA 95008. Phone: (408) 378-3429. Cost: $10.00
